As the best Historian of our troop, I make videos of our monthly campouts using a GoPro and Premiere Pro. These videos are posted below. Also on this page are older videos I've made from my time with Scouts Canada. Check them out!
In May 2024, our troop went whitewater rafting on the South Fork American River during a 2-night campout!
A short PSA about why you shouldn't wander away from a group. Created for a patrol competition. We won!
In October 2023, 11 members of our troop went to Point Reyes National Seashore for a fun 1-night backpacking trip!
Route: Clem Miller Center -- Coast Campground (beach) -- Sky Campground (1 night) -- Clem Miller Center
The summer of 2023, I worked on the Waterfront Staff at Camp Marin-Sierra! The month-long experience in the mountains, impacting the lives of youth, made it probably the best way I could have spent my summer. I made this video recapping the camp season!
Over 4 weeks in July, hundreds of Scouts and adult leaders came up to Camp Marin-Sierra for a week of intense fun and Scouting adventures. Thank you everyone for sharing your love of Scouting with us this summer. May the Forest be with You!
While this isn't a campout, it was a troop outing as the main event to our climbing program feature, November 2022.
The Via Ferrata, also known as Wild Willie’s Wall Walk, is an "iron path" that traverses along the edge of a granite cliff around the perimeter of the Quarry Park Adventures area. There are two options for the course - the lower easier path, and the higher harder path. This video showcases the full experience of Via Ferrata's harder path. It took me a little over an hour to complete the course, though the official rating is 1.5 to 2 hours.
In October of 2022, Mountain House Scouting Troop 511 went on a 3-day, 2-night campout at Hensley Lake Recreation Area. This video recaps the camping adventure.
In September of 2022, Mountain House Scouting Troop 511 went on a 3-day, 2-night backpacking trip through the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. Camping at lakes along the 10-mile route, the separation from the modern world and venturing into the wilderness was an experience never to be forgotten.
In July of 2022, Mountain House Scouting Troop 511 went on a week-long campout at Camp Marin Sierra near Emigrant Gap, California. With many merit badges and activities, this traditional Scouting experience was unforgettable! This video recaps the camping adventure. After seeing this video, the manager of the camp put the trailer on their official summer camp webpage here.
In June of 2022, my Scouting troop, Troop 511, had a 2-night campout at Scout Island, Lake Yosemite. This video recaps our camping adventure.

In January, I went to a camp called Camp Samac with my scout group. We had loads of fun, played many rounds of manhunt (where the boundaries are the ENTIRE forest), had loads of snacks (of course), and I challenged my self to something daring. Almost every camp, I make a shelter in the woods and sleep in it, but this camp is special. It was -20°C at night, feeling much colder, and I challenged my self to make a snow fortress and sleep in it overnight with no sleeping bags! I just wore my snow pants and jacket, and layed down in the snow and tried to sleep! However, it didn’t go as planned...
Every year I go to Awenda Provincial Park, and there I always build a shelter out deep in the forest and sleep in it for the night! In this video, I did the same, but it was EPIC!! It started raining heavily at about 5 AM, and it was an adventure trying to pack up and leave, as our shelter was not waterproof and we were getting soaked!
In this video, I went out with my scout group (1st Bayview Hills Newmarket) to camp at Awenda Provincial Park! There, I had many adventures, including sleeping in the woods in a custom shelter! We used rope and tarp to set up a base between the trees deep in the forest, and we slept in it overnight. We had lots of fun during this camping trip.
In this video, I went camping at a campground called Warsaw Caves! We explored many deep and fascinating caves. I wasn't expecting much, but when I took my first step in the cramped, dark cave, my mind was blown! It was also very, very cold during the camp. Water bottles froze solid, milk turned into ice, toothbrushes got stuck in the snow, cloths froze hard, and benches covered with frost! Brrrrr. Something happened when we were exploring one of the caves . . . that could've made me die . . .
During the winter of 2018, I went camping with some of my friends. But this wasn't a typical winter camp. Much like the 'WE SURVIVED THE NIGHT' video, I decided to challenge myself and to build my own shelter to sleep in. But except this time, it was MUCH different. It wasn't really a shelter, but simply a tarp put on the ground. Also, the conditions were much worse. It was in the middle of winter - snowy, freezing cold, and wet. Not only this, but I was mostly by myself, which made it much scarier. This video shares the adventures I had during the restless night, and also some other incredible fun times I had at Camp Samac.
Dorchester International Brotherhood Camp (DIBC) is an weekend-long international scout camp. Scouts and Girl Guides from all over came to this camp. People from as far as Oshawa, and even from the USA, came to enjoy the many activities of this camp! For me and my group, it was a blast! It was incredibly fun and adventurous! This video records the incredible adventures I had at DIBC!
In this video, I went camping at Adwenda Provincial Park! One of the big challenges is when me and 2 of my friends built a shelter in the forest with a tarp and rope, and we slept in it overnight! It was a true wilderness experience!
In The Month Of August, 2017, I attended a camping trip that lasted one week. It was one of my most favourite camping trips of all, and here is a video about my adventure! Be sure to stay till the end of the video, as something awesome(kinda . . .) happens . . .
